July/August 2005 Our family loved the Gite and the swimming pool, and most of all enjoyed your company. Clairac and the surrounding area is a lovely part of France with lots to offer from boating on the river to interesting bastide villages, I would recommend it as a family holiday to anyone that asks! August 2005 A very warm welcome from the Davis family. The gites are spacious and extremely well equipped, with every facility you could wish for. The swimming pool is lovely, very clean and with a substantial terrace for sunbathing. Although the two gites are next to each other, we did not feel in anyway cramped or overlooked. The local amenities are excellent with a supermarket and bakery in the local town and a large hypermarket a short drive away. May/June 2006 As a family of five we sometimes struggle with places that can accommodate our three growing sons. However, the accommodation and grounds at Bernege was perfect for them, with it's lizards and cats, to say nothing of the pool! What made it extra special was Jon's welcome and laid back attitude. July 2006 We all had a fantastic 2 weeks at Bernege Gites, we couldn't have asked for more ideallic, peaceful and relaxing surroundings - just what we all needed! Jon and Amanda were very welcoming, and not forgetting little Joseph! There was also plenty to do when we weren't lazing by the pool, a brilliant holiday we'd recommend to anyone. The area is really beautiful, and there is so much to see and do that I am sure we shall be returning at some point! September 2006 We had the opportunity of stopping in both Gites in September 2006 and found them both refurbished to excellent standards, with every possible amenity available to a holidaying family. The garden, with its fruit and nut trees is lovely. We recommend the apples and walnuts especially. The surrounding countryside is spectacular and recommend visits to Nerac (lovely view across the river to the cathedral), Laverdac (fantastic restaurant within the cathedral walls), Le Temple Sur Lot (another good restaurant), Pujols (fantastically beautiful hilltop village), to name but a few.
